Men with small ...hmmm
To Whom It May Concern,
I would like to take this opportunity to make one final request prior to pursuing court action to finalise separation; should it be at all possible to represent myself; as emailed.
I will be making the following requests for maintenance since I am unable to gain employment and currently homeless, as a result of Domestic Violence...
(1) For my husband to pay a lump sum; here I am asking only 100eur per month for the next four years and back payment from the time I became homeless - which is the 15th September, 2014 - however, I require this payment upfront. This request is intended to assist me to get back on my feet and off the streets; bond, rent, groceries, clothing and medical. Should my husband choose this option, there will be no further court action, however, the laws in Malta with regards to separation will still apply - payment required within 14 days of agreement by way of direct deposit into my bank account.
OR
(2) For maintenance to be paid monthly - 50% of his wages for the next four years and back payment from the moment I became homeless, as a result of Domestic Violence... There may be further action to seek compensation for damages, personal injury and a reduction of living standards addressing possible breeches of the Civil Code under section 37 under the heading family and should I be successful, I will be reversing all court costs.
Anthony, feel free to give me legal advice on the above mentioned; however, I intend to represent myself.
The building where Criminology is taught is neighbouring to the Faculty of Law's building and running into each other while studying, would have been the inevitable.
I tried to enter into Law to commence 1st of October, 2014, however, my application with the Malta university was rejected; which I was only informed about at the interview stages (two weeks before commencement) not leaving me sufficient time to re-apply. Furthermore, I have been made aware by university staff themselves that my husband had applied for his masters in criminology at the same time and that I can do my law degree next year when my husband, has finished his masters, (allowing him to go first); which made me very angry because I felt held back for him to get ahead; a clear case of INEQUALITY; again demonstrating outdated practices.
The Malta university BlamED my failed application on a technicality, which could have been easily overcome, should I have been given sufficient notice prior to the interview that my application was rejected.
OUTCOME:
As a result of my husband refusing to pay a cent in maintenance, I was made homeless (despite his 20,000eur per annum income bracket); and having no savings of my own due to unemployment, I was forced to drop legal proceedings against my husband, which would have held him responsible for his crimes of domestic abuse; and the legal aid system already under strain, compromised my opportunities for fair justice by appointing a lawyer not relevant to my case.
SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT GENDER BASED VIOLENCE!
